Cookie Policy
Last Updated: October 7, 2026
This Cookie Policy ("Policy") describes how we, NewStore, Inc., use cookies and similar technologies (collectively, "Cookies") on this website. It explains what Cookies are, which ones we set, why we set them, and how you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
Nothing other than strictly necessary Cookies is set before you choose. When you first visit, a consent banner asks whether you accept analytics and marketing Cookies; until you accept, no analytics or marketing Cookies are placed and no analytics or marketing data is collected. You can change your decision at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.
What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or device. On each later visit they send data back to the website that set them, which lets a site recognise your device over time. They are used for things like moving between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and understanding how a site is used. This Policy also covers similar technologies that store information in your browser, such as local storage.
How we use Cookies
We use Cookies for three purposes: to remember your privacy choice, to understand how this website is used so we can improve it, and to measure advertising. The second runs only if you accept analytics. The third runs only if you accept marketing.
Types of Cookies we use
- Strictly necessary Cookies. Required for the website to work and to record your privacy choice. Because they exist only to deliver something you asked for, they do not require your consent and cannot be switched off. If you block them, your privacy choice cannot be remembered and you will be asked again on every page.
- Analytics Cookies. Used to understand how visitors reach and move through this website, which pages are useful, and where people get stuck. These are set only if you accept them, and are removed if you later decline.
- Marketing Cookies. Used to recognise a browser so we can measure advertising. These are set only if you accept them.
We do not set functionality or social media Cookies on this website.
Cookies set on this website
The table below lists everything this website stores on your device.
| Name | Category | Set by | Purpose | Stored for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ns_consent | Strictly necessary | NewStore (first party) | Records whether you accepted or declined analytics and marketing Cookies, so you are not asked again. | 12 months |
| ucData, ucString | Strictly necessary | Usercentrics | Stores your consent decision and the record of it, in your browser’s local storage, so the choice can be demonstrated if challenged. | Persistent until cleared |
| ph_bootstrap_id | Analytics | NewStore (first party) | A random identifier used to keep you in a consistent group when we test two versions of a page. Set only after you accept analytics, and deleted if you decline. | 12 months |
| ph_<id>_posthog | Analytics | PostHog | A random device and session identifier used to count visits and group page views into a single session. Contains no name, email address, or other information you have given us. | 12 months |
| _ga | Analytics | A random identifier used to tell visitors apart. Contains no name, email address, or other information you have given us. Set only after you accept analytics, and deleted if you decline. | 24 months | |
| _ga_<id> | Analytics | Keeps page views from one visit together as a single session. | 24 months | |
| _nauid | Marketing | N.Rich | A random identifier used to recognise this browser so advertising can be measured. Stored on nrich.ai, not on this website. Contains no name, email address, or other information you have given us. Set only after you accept marketing Cookies. | 13 months |
Third parties
Four third-party services are involved in the Cookies described above.
- Usercentrics GmbH provides the consent banner and keeps the record of your decision. This is strictly necessary and operates whether or not you accept analytics.
- PostHog, Inc. provides our analytics, including recordings of page interactions on this website. It runs only after you accept analytics Cookies. PostHog processes this data in the United States, so accepting analytics involves a transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area.
- Google LLC provides Google Analytics, which counts visits and records which pages are viewed. It runs only after you accept analytics Cookies. Advertising and ad-personalisation features are switched off, so this is not used to build an advertising profile of you. Google processes this data in the United States, so accepting analytics involves a transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area.
- N.Rich Technologies Oy and N.Rich US Inc. provide advertising measurement. The _nauid Cookie is stored on nrich.ai and runs only after you accept marketing Cookies. N.Rich processes this data in Finland and the United States, so accepting marketing involves a transfer of personal data outside the European Economic Area.
Two further notes on things that often do set Cookies but do not here. Videos on this website are embedded from Vimeo with Do Not Track enabled, so Vimeo does not set Cookies or build a profile of you. Our fonts are served from this website rather than from a font provider, so no request is made to a third party to display text.
How long do Cookies stay on my device?
Some Cookies last only until you close your browser; these are "session" Cookies. Others stay between visits and are called "persistent" Cookies. The table above gives the lifetime of each Cookie we set. Declining analytics or marketing, or clearing your browser storage, removes the Cookies set for that choice.
How to control which Cookies are set
The simplest way is the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. It re-opens the same choice you were given on your first visit, and takes effect immediately: declining stops that collection at once and removes the identifiers rather than merely halting new ones.
You can also manage Cookies in your browser. How you do this differs between browsers, so check your browser’s help pages for its Cookie settings. You can set most browsers to notify you when a Cookie is offered, or to refuse Cookies entirely. Cookies cannot read data from your hard drive, and you can delete them at any time. Browsers do not share these settings with each other, so you will need to set your preference on each browser and device you use.
Because strictly necessary Cookies cannot be switched off, blocking all Cookies in your browser means your privacy choice cannot be stored and the banner will reappear each time.
