Stephan is a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of creating and growing successful tech companies in the United States and Europe. Under his leadership and vision, he brought Intershop and Demandware to IPO’s with multi-billion dollar market caps.
He has won numerous awards around the world for his technology and entrepreneurial leadership. He is also an investor in several software and green-tech startups. Stephan has served as a director at various privately held & public tech companies.
In addition to being Chairman at NewStore, he is also chairman and majority shareholder at Torqeedo, the leader in marine electric propulsion.
General Partner, General Catalyst Partners
Larry loves to build strong companies around great software and help entrepreneurs “scale up their impact, withstand adversity and achieve something historic.” He had the opportunity to build three leading business software companies before joining General Catalyst, taking two of them through their IPOs as CEO. At General Catalyst, he is involved with companies that transform a range of industries.
Founder and Partner of Activant Capital
Steve is the Founder of Activant Capital, a growth equity firm focused on investing in market leading companies as they hit an inflection point on their way to becoming at-scale enterprises. In addition, Steve was an early investor in Hybris AG, and watched Stephan and team build Demandware from a distance. Activant wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to partner with Stephan and his team at NewStore, the brightest minds in commerce, building the next generation commerce platform.
Steve received his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. from SMU.
Executive Chair of the Board, TJX Companies
Carol Meyrowitz was the CEO of TJX Companies from 2007 to 2016. She also previously held several positions within TJX since joining the company in 1983. Formerly, Ms. Meyrowitz served on the Staples, Inc., Amscan Holdings, Inc., and the Yankee Candle Company Boards. Currently, she sits on several Advisory Boards. She has been recognized as Fortune’s Business Person of the Year and was among their Most Powerful Women listing in 2015. In that same year, she was featured among Barron’s World’s Best CEO’s for the third consecutive year. She has also been listed on Forbes’ World’s Most Powerful Women.
Sharen Jester Turney
Former President and CEO, Victoria’s Secret
Sharen served as President and CEO of Victoria’s Secret from 2006-2016. Prior to that appointment, she was the CEO of Victoria’s Secret’s ecommerce and catalog division. She was also part of Federated Department Stores and Neiman Marcus, where she held several top positions on her way to becoming president and CEO of Neiman Marcus Direct. Her experience at leading these two iconic brands will help drive both the development of the NewStore platform and adoption by retailers worldwide.
Board of Advisors
Ulrike is a passionate and visionary technologist who has been creating innovative software products her whole career. As former Chief Technology Officer at NewStore, Ulrike lead the technology strategy while working closely with product management, engineering and marketing to align product and technology into a comprehensive offering for the ecommerce and retail industry. Before joining NewStore, she was the co-founder and Chief Software Architect for Demandware’s SaaS ecommerce platform and prior to that she was Chief Software Architect for Intershop’s enterprise offering.
David Duplantis is a global retail leader with over 25 years’ experience driving growth and transformation for iconic specialty and fashion brands: Coach, J.Crew, Banana Republic and Macy’s. He recently left Coach after a successful 18 years where he was part of the leadership team that took the company from a $380M American accessories brand to a $5B global luxury lifestyle brand.
Most recently, David managed Global Marketing, Digital, CRM & Advanced Analytics at Coach. He is also a classically trained merchant and has had full P&L responsibility, leading the Coach North America group through 28 sequential quarters of double digital comp growth. He has a legacy of profitable innovation both online and in stores and was the founding leader and visionary of the company’s Global Web & Digital Media Group and Global Customer Experience Group.
Throughout his career, David has built high-performing teams and developed talent for the business. He is recognized as a leader that people want to follow, a collaborative business partner and a mentor to many.
SVP of Digital and Ecommerce, Theory
Michelle Cutter is the SVP of Digital and Ecommerce at Theory. In her role, she manages the brand’s global digital strategy and execution. Michelle is also the founder of Dogged Digital, a digital strategy consultancy focused on raising the digital IQ of small women-owned businesses. In 2018, she was honored to be a Remodista Woman2Watch in business disruption. Prior to Theory, she held similar roles at Tory Burch and Tumi. Michelle received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her M.B.A. from New York University. Michelle lives in Hopewell, NJ with her husband, two children and dog.

Scott is a Professor of Marketing at the NYU Stern School of Business where he teaches brand strategy and digital marketing. In 2012, Professor Galloway was named “One of the World’s 50 Best Business School Professors” by Poets & Quants. He is also the founder of Red Envelope and Prophet Brand Strategy. Scott was elected to the World Economic Forum’s Global Leaders of Tomorrow and has served on the boards of directors of Urban Outfitters (Nasdaq: URBN), Eddie Bauer (Nasdaq: EBHI), The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT), and UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. He received a B.A. from UCLA and an M.B.A. from UC Berkeley.

Adina is the SVP of Media & Customer Insights at CHANEL. She is a seasoned marketing professional with expertise in global brands, luxury and retail.
VP of Ecommerce & Performance Marketing, INTERMIX
Scott is the Vice President of Ecommerce and Performance Marketing at INTERMIX, as well as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University in the City of New York. He has held executive level roles at XRC Labs, TrendSeeder Corp, John Varvatos, Diesel and Morgans Hotel Group. Prior to that experience he was at American Express, L’Oreal, POSSIBLE, Infospace and Fidelity Investments.
VP of Retail, David Yurman
Tom is the VP of Retail at David Yurman. He is a results oriented business leader with a proven track record in sales and sales management. Focused on profitability, brand management, process improvement, customer relationships and technology advancement, Tom is a proven leader and strategic planner with a wide range of knowledge and skills ranging from sponsorship negotiations, marketing, training and development, merchandising, operations, financial planning, international expansion and public speaking. He is a widely respected and influential executive who excels in collaboration, motivating, inspiring and leading.

Melissa is the Vice President of Customer Experience at Bergdorf Goodman. Previously she was SVP – Studio Experience at SoulCycle Inc. She has also held VP-level positions as Tory Burch, Jack Spade, and Kate Spade, as well as Director of Stores at Liz Claiborne and District Manager at Gap.
